The tradition

Vicari is a historical family in Morro D’Alba village, connected to viticulture since many centuries.
A series of lucky coincidences allowed us to find a Vicari’s ancestor who lived in Morro in the last decade of '400, through notarial deeds, cadastres and many municipal archive’s board acts. His name was Francino de Rigo.
For this reason , through a long research , lasted 3 years, it was possible to complete the genealogical tree of Vicari family and write a book entitled: "I Vicari- Momenti di vita di campagna a Morro d’Alba - secoli XV - XXI". This book expresses with more and more strenght the close connection between the family and their land and their tradition.

The company today

The Vicari farm is a small family company owned and run by Nazzareno and his two children Vico and Valentina, located in Morro D’Alba. The Vicari were “quelli del pozzo buono” (those of the good well), because in their street there was and still exists a big well, where in the past the inhabitants of Morro D’Alba went and drew drinking water. Today in each bottle, in each label on remembers this history, containing in the inscription “Del Pozzo Buono” and in the logo of the company, that represents a stylization of the old appearance of great historical well.

Producers Lacrima di Morro

In 2021 the Vicari company is the protagonist in the birth of the "Producers Lacrima di Morro" project, which has the purpose of promoting and enhancing, together with other producers operating within the DOC, the Lacrima di Morro D'Alba wine and its territory.
